We are proud to announce that Systemica, as the technical partner responsible for developing and coordinating the baseline renewal process, has just received Verra’s approval for the baseline renewal of the REDD+ project (ID 875). This is the first project in Brazil to obtain this renewal under the VM0007 methodology, reinforcing our leadership and technical expertise in the development of carbon projects.
Developing carbon projects, especially REDD+ initiatives, is a highly complex task that goes far beyond the simple sum of its individual components. It is the result of well-informed strategic decisions, in-depth technical analyses and intense collaborative work. Throughout this journey, our team has demonstrated resilience, exceptional technical competence and a great capacity to face both technical and market challenges.
To achieve this outcome, we engaged in detailed technical dialogues with the Validation and Verification Body (VVB) and held productive discussions with Verra, ensuring the development of a deforestation forecasting model aligned with the requirements of the baseline reassessment. We navigated together through a challenging market scenario, requiring dedication, open dialogue and clear alignment between all parties involved.
More than anything, this achievement reflects our collective dedication, the quality of our discussions and the certainty that we are all aligned with a greater purpose: to conserve forests and build a more prosperous future alongside the communities and territories in which we operate.
