THEORY OF CHANGE

Actions were designed to increase the well-being of the community and conserve the territory, which are divided into seven axes:

  • 1 School garden implemented and maintained 
  • 1 Alignment meeting held with school coordinators and teachers 
  • 03 Provision of materials for courses and classes at the local school carried out 
  • 10 Awareness campaigns on environmental and citizen education carried out
  • 01 Structured and implemented protection strategy in the riparian zone of Córrego Caboclo and/or other water bodies in the territory 
  • 02 Workshops held on maintenance of Permanent Preservation Areas, protection of springs, sustainable use of water and construction of septic tanks 
  • 01 Structure for access to drinking water implemented in the community
  • 12 Communication channels established and maintained with the community 
  • 10 Initiatives for structuring governance, with a focus on promoting female participation carried out 
  • 01 Initiative to promote community organization with a focus on improving mobility infrastructure
  • 05 Attempts at cooperative discussions conducted with local authorities/universities to structure and implement wildlife protection programs for rural landowners 
  • 02 Workshops on the ecological functions of fauna and sustainable activities carried out 
  • 03 Monitoring campaigns of focal species of fauna and flora carried out

The objectives of TdX include the preservation of the forest in the project area, direct and indirect investments in local communities and the stabilization or increase of populations of threatened species identified in the region.
